About Us
A group of individuals from Jersey are taking this initiative to build a temple, and a larger home for the community.
Devasthanam or a temple is defined as a symbolic house, seat and body of divinity of Hindus. This definition is indicative, but not complete.
A temple is also home, a confluence of communities, ideas, a haven for the seeker, and for celebrations.
Throughout the journey from birth to meeting the maker, a temple occupies a central place in our festivities, grief and joy.
Mission:
It is the drops, which make the ocean. With community contributions, we seek to fulfil our vision build a temple In Jersey. On this journey we will begin with events, pujas, to get our people together, exchange ideas, form support structures. A home away from home.
We don't see ourselves as the owners, but as mere catalysts and instrument. For nearly the 1,000 member Indian community will be the true stakeholders and owners of this temple. The gods reside in temple, but bless the entire ecosystem around it.
Can we come together and imagine a holy place for Hindus on this beautiful island?
